We will be setting up at Packrat Comics this Saturday to support the "Help for Heroes: Benefit for Hero Initiative." All proceeds will be going to this cause. We will be offering Hero Initiative buttons for donations of at least $1. Every Hero Initiative button will come with a free Mutant Cactus button of your choosing.
Packrat Comics will host an evening of awesome events to help raise money for the Help for Heroes: Benefit for Hero Initiative!
Saturday, AUGUST 7th @ 4:00pm - 10:00pm
Events will include:
- Autograph signings
- Costumed Characters! Get your picture taken with them!
- Comic Book Poker Tournament
- Auction
- Artwork for sale by local artists
- Sketches for donation by local artists
Help for Heroes: Benefit for Hero Initiative is a fundraiser effort to help local artist Josh Medors as he continues to battle cancer.
With the help of the Hero Initiative we have created Help for Heroes: 10 days in 2010. A fund-raising effort running from July 29-August 7, 2010.
A variety of central Ohio comic book shops will be hosting events during the "10 days in 2010" run including:
-Donation jars
-Artists to shops doing signings/sketches for donations
-Silent Auction
-Give-A-Ways and Doorprizes
-Photo Opportunities with Costumed Characters
-Poker Tournament
-And More!
